Transcript

In the UK, people wait in queues. When a lot of people want to do the same thing at the same time, they stand in a line and wait. People wait in queues at the bank. People wait in queues at the post office. People wait in queues at the shop. Queues happen everywhere! People in the UK like queues because it is polite to wait your turn. You join a queue behind the last person in the line of people. People in the UK think it is rude to push in front of other people. People who push in queues make other people very cross! In Britain, that is how people like to do things, but I don't think all countries have queues. Without queues, some people never get a turn. The best thing about a queue is that everybody gets a turn eventually. If you wait patiently, you will get to do what you want to do.

To do the same thing in the same place, people should do it in an organised manner. That's why I think that waiting in queues is essential at any place. Otherwise, the place would turn into a mess, especially the crowded places.

It may seems boring and time wasting to wait in queues, but it isn't. Actually, it saves time because everyone eventually does what he wants at his turn without wasting time pushing other people. In addition, employees don't get confused by receiving several requests at the same time. That saves time because they receive each request only once and in an organised manner. Also, that make them do their jobs efficiently.

Also, some people would never do what they want without queues. Old people and other weak people wouldn't be able to push and fight to get their turn. That would make them feel disabled.

Being crowded in front of the employee makes people uncomfortable. First, they wouldn't have privacy because there would be many people surrounding the one dealing with the employee. In addition, everyone would feel rushed to finish what he is doing.

In conclusion, people will do what they want smoothly and politely, if they wait patiently in queues.
