collect   correct

Task 1 - learn new words

                 locks              rocks

                 glass              grass

                 clown             crown

                 lane               rain

Task 3 - speaking practice

Practise saying these sentences:

  • Those locks look really heavy!
  • Don't walk on the grass!

  • I don’t like this rain.
You can use your mobile phone to record yourself speaking. If you think you could improve, you can record yourself again.

Say this sentence which contains lots of words with /l/ and /r/ sounds.

  • ‘Lily likes writing on the right not the left lines.’

This is a tongue twister – a sentence that is difficult to say when you speak quickly! Write a tongue twister using the /l/ and /r/ sounds. We'd love to read them!
