Much of the content will still be available on the new site, and new and updated materials will become available when the ETF site is launched. We thank you for your continuing interest in ESOL Nexus and look forward to its resources being sustained through its new ETF ownership.
The lesson is based on the principles of the Language Experience Approach (LEA). It is appropriate for ESOL students with low literacy needs. This approach often takes place with individual students, but this lesson shows how the approach is easily adapted for use with a group.
Going to work aims to provide beginner ESOL learners with some basic vocabulary and skills to access work along with opportunity to practise the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
This lesson develops learners’ ability to describe a person, using the context of a lost child in a supermarket. The learners watch a video and then complete activities to check comprehension and practise colour and clothing vocabulary.
