This lesson is about Anne’s journey to work. It provides learners with listening and speaking practice of transport vocabulary and talking about their journeys to work or college/school.

Are you planning to take your driving test? Are you used to driving in a different country? This activity will help you learn about the different types of road signs in the UK. 

Transport

Can you spell ‘bus’, or ‘car’ or ‘ticket’? Practise spelling different types of transport in these activities.

The Titanic and the third conditional

This is a way to consolidate the form of the third conditional. it is best used at the end of the first lesson in which students meet the form, or at the latest the one after.

How we travel

This lesson is based on a video about how the different members of a family travel to work, college, university and school. Learners will practise saying and reading the names of types of transport. They will answer questions about the video and practise the word order of sentences from the video.
