It also explores the language needed by a self-employed cleaners and taxi-driver so it will also be useful for learners who work in these areas. In this section, learners develop their reading skills and look at the language of note writing.
This resource is aimed primarily at learners who are already working in retail or who want to find out more about working in the sector, but will appeal to any learners who need to talk about processes, prices or career development. The resource uses authentic sound recordings as a springboard for practice in listening, speaking, writing and numeracy skills within this context.
This lesson is related to employability and focusses on the language and skills needed to understand a website which describes the process of registering with an employment agency. Learners also practise completing a registration form.
