Modern technology

This lesson is about modern technology and the effect it has had on people’s lives in recent years. A reading text provides the main focus of the lesson and the skill of speed-reading is developed. Students are encouraged to identify the meaning of vocabulary within the context and to focus on the pronunciation of regular past simple verbs.

Social norms in the UK

This lesson provides students with the opportunity to discuss and read about UK social norms. It then supplies them with a structured approach to writing and evaluating complex sentences on this topic.

Six Book Challenge

This lesson shows learners how to take part in the Six Book Challenge run by The Reading Agency, a charity whose mission is to give everyone an equal chance in life by helping people become confident and enthusiastic readers.
