Making plans: first conditional.

Do you find it easy to make plans for the weekend? What do your plans depend on? In this lesson, Anne talks about her plans for the weekend. The language focus is the first conditional.

Retirement: verb patterns

Anne is thinking about her retirement plans. Watch and listen to her and then focus on the activities about different verb patterns.

Future plans

Watch the presentation and complete the activities to find out how we use 'will, going to and present continuous' to talk about the future.

Changing an appointment

Making an appointment by telephone in English can be hard because you need to use clear language and speak calmly.

Improve your health and fitness

This lesson is about getting fit and healthy. It provides learners with listening practice by watching a video about someone’s plans to get fit and healthy. It also provides practice of using ‘going to’ to talk about future plans.

The teacher’s visit

This resource, 'Someone at the door: The teacher’s visit', is part of 'English in my home', which aims to give ESOL learners the confidence and the language to deal with situations they may encounter in their homes.  In this lesson, Sunita meets her son's new teacher, but where is Arjun?
