Around the UK: Giant's causeway

This lesson is about the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. It provides students with opportunities to describe places and combine clauses with conjunctions and relative pronouns. Students develop their writing, reading and listening skills as well as their vocabulary and discussion skills.

Do you eat healthily? Food nouns can be countable or uncountable. In this activity you will learn how to make sentences using countable and uncountable nouns.

Do you know many first names in English? These activities will help you learn and practise first names and their spelling.

Encouraging your teenager to communicate

Teenagers often find it difficult to talk about how they are feeling and this can cause anxiety for the whole family.

Talking about work

In this module you will watch a video which introduces a family and their jobs. You will learn vocabulary needed for work, practise your listening skills and how to make basic sentences.

Going to work

Going to work aims to provide beginner ESOL learners with some basic vocabulary and skills to access work along with opportunity to practise the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
