Unit 2 is about describing the location of places using simple prepositions of place. It develops all language skills and can be used in ESOL literacy classes. Learners listen and follow simple instructions, find locations on a 2d map, and create their own simple sentences.
Li’s story is a resource for all beginner ESOL learners, including those with basic literacy needs. Learners will develop narrative ideas, read and follow a story about a mother whose child is taken ill at school. They will be able to participate in a range of learning activities which develop early language and reading skills.

Learners listen to sound clips and discuss what they can hear and where, build sentences and identify verb-noun collocations. Learners also develop simple transactional dialogues such as buying food in a café, a ticket on the bus, or paying at the checkout.
